THE 10th NITI
CONGRESS AND WORKSHOP, AND INTERNATIONAL TRANSLATION DAY
The 10th Congress and Workshop of the Nigerian Institute of Translators and Interpreters was held, as widely announced, on Thursday 27th and Friday 28th September 2012, at the Conference Hall of the University of Lagos. Various resource papers were presented, which eloquently empowered the theme: LANGUAGE, TRANSLATION AND NATIONAL SECURITY, as well as the sub-themes.
The Conference was attended by NITI Fellows, Members, Student members and non-members who came for being interested in the subject matter, from all over the country: The French Language Village, Ojo, University of Lagos, Lagos State University, Bayero University Kano; others came from Benin, Abuja and Lafia.
At the end of the two-day conference, the Nigerian Institute of Translators and Interpreters issued a communique :
